Adelaide Artificial Intelligence: 25 July '19 (#Meetup 5)

We’re excited to announce the next Adelaide AI Meetup on the 25th July 2019 from 5.45pm until 8.00pm and we're honoured to have another awesome lineup of speakers.

Dr. Hannah Brown is the Chief Science Storyteller at SAHMRI and one of Australia's inaugural 'Superstars of STEM'. Hannah is an expert in explaining difficult scientific concepts in a clear & entertaining way. Marco Salinas is the Co-founder/CEO at Hubble and will be talking about how his company has started using AI to design eco-friendly buildings – cutting validation of design decisions from days to minutes!

Passionate about AI, we are here to help support and build a diverse, inclusive and informed AI community, where like-minded people can discover, discuss, network and promote the latest in Artificial Intelligence in a fun and friendly format. The growing Adelaide AI community includes developers, startups, industry leaders, academia and government, so whether you’re a professional, a developer, an enthusiast, or just plain interested, please come along, spread the word, and support our brilliant presenters.

AIML

Twitter: @TheAIML | Website: University of Adelaide, Australian Institute for Machine Learning

Co-investment by the State Government and the University of Adelaide saw the concept of Australia’s first institute dedicated to research in machine learning finally come to fruition. In early 2018, the Australian Institute for Machine Learning (AIML) was officially established. Although a new Institute by name, AIML was formed from the Australian Centre for Visual Technologies (ACVT), a group with a long history of delivering high-impact fundamental and applied research. The AIML's world-class research strengths lie in machine learning and the methods that support this; artificial intelligence, computer vision and deep learning.
